Ivy Cox is a native Arkansan located in Palm Beach County, Florida. She has been involved in art since a young age; mainly influenced by her grandmother. In 2015, she won the Congressional Art Award and had her artwork displayed in Washington, D.C. at the U.S. Capitol. She is currently studying Art History and Museum Studies at Arizona State University. Her work focuses on color, pattern and people.

Ivy Cox's 'Record Series' is based on her idealization of the 1970s aura. With a strong sense of color theory, pattern and painting, Ivy has created a series that encapsulates the essence of the time period. The intention of the series is to reflect back on an earlier time period and bask in the happiness that each piece generates. Each piece is painted with acrylic on a vinyl record that has been thrifted and upcycled as a canvas.
